We had these tator tot cubes today, and I swear they were so good we literally came back a few hours later with friends just so they could try them too. They were insanely crispy on the outside and somehow soft and fluffy on the inside in a way I’ve never had before. Truly the best tots of my life. And the service was great both times.. super friendly, fast, and just genuinely welcoming. Honestly, those tots alone are worth the trip.

Three of us went on a driving tour of New York/Mass/Ct last fall. We spent the night in Hudson and found this restaurant by walking up Main Street. A great choice. We had a delicious dinner and some wine. Certainly will go back the next time we are in the area.

Stopped into Swoon while driving thru the Catskills, as I'd heard it's been around awhile. Staff couldn't be nicer, and the service is super quick. The food is very good, but not exceptional: I dug the kale salad and the fried artichokes are tasty, but nothing particularly special. Linguini with clams was advertised as homemade pasta, but tasted more like dried / packaged to me? Clams were very high quality, though, and super well prepared. Ambiance was also nice, but still just lacking something that kept it from being too warm or inviting. Overall, a very nice place, but nothing especially memorable here.

Great atmosphere. Bar and dining area were fun. Staff were fantastic despite obviously being very short handed. The food was well plated and beautiful. Salmon and Hake were cooked well. Seems like a popular place.

We had a fantastic evening here! The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. We actually sat next to this Enrique character who left the nasty review just before mine. I just want to clarify that they were not actually by the bar, just a regular table right beside ours. I am surprised they posted a review associated with their (real?) name, because a normal person might have been embarrassed to throw a (full-grown adult) temper tantrum before stomping out of the restaurant screaming “just wait for the review!” Our server Cara, and the manager Lisa, marvelously played the dual role of restaurant employee/therapist trying to calm down Enrique and his partner. They even honored the request to move them to one, oddly-specific table in the back, but when they came to tell the angry couple that the table was ready for them, that’s when they stormed out! The woman also had music playing from her phone in her pocket, but seemed much too grumpy for me to ask her to turn it off. Anyway, the whole vibe of the restaurant lightened once those two left, and many of the other patrons had a fun time laughing and bonding over just how entitled and awful some folks can be. But anyway, back to the food. Everything was fantastic! They even made me a delicious vegan dipping sauce from scratch to pair with the world’s best artichokes. We will definitely be back! Props again to Lisa and Cara, and hope not to run into Enrique at any other restaurants!

Enjoyed our dinner at Swoon, a longstanding Hudson NY establishment. Service was friendly and attentive. Crispy artichokes were fantastic and bread plate hit all the right notes. Short ribs were pretty good, had some central american spices with nice bright vegetable garnish. Partner had the risotto which was fine, nothing too special. Desserts were great, highlight was a pumpkin flavored pudding. Proved why it has remained in business for all these years!
